Mike “The Bluesman” Buckshot

I first started working here at CKWE 103.9 FM in 2016 as a radio DJ/Broadcaster. It was something new for me as I had never worked at a radio station. The first few weeks took some getting used to, but after awhile, I became more and more comfortable in being myself. During my time at CKWE, I learned some new skills such as arranging my set list of songs, conducting and editing interviews with various guests via telephone and live in studio as well. When my time at CKWE ended, as it was a summer job, I moved onto a few other things. However, in 2019, when a job position opened, I applied and was given the job once again. I was once again working at CKWE for nearly a year when the COVID 19 pandemic hit. At first, I thought it was going to only be for a couple weeks. However, weeks turned into months and I am still here!

When I’m not working at CKWE, I like to do things such as relax, play video games, watch movies, go to the city on the weekends, play music with my guitars, amps & pedals. I also like to do art as well, such as sketching & drawing either on traditional pencil and paper, or digitally via Adobe Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro, etc.

Where do I see myself in five years? I would see myself here at CKWE with more experience than I had when I first started. I also most likely see myself retiring in my golden years from CKWE after a long career as a DJ/Broadcaster.
